STAR Camp Opens for Registration on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM
STAR Camp is a professionally planned and well-supervised program with outstanding and responsible staff held at Sharon High School. Campers are grouped by grade to provide age appropriate activities and entertainment. We visit Lake Massapoag three times a week for swimming and activities. Weekly field trips are planned with camper's ages in mind to ensure campers enjoy their time off site. STAR camp also offers weekly themes and team based challenges to keep campers excited and engaged! Swimming lessons are offered by certified Water Safety Instructors at Lake Massapoag on lake days. We also offer Early Drop-off and Late Pick-up to provide child care coverage from 8:00 to 9:00 am and 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Swimming Lessons, Early Drop-off and Late Pick-up are available for additional cost and are not drop-in programs. Staff members are trained in basic first aid, recognizing allergen exposure, administration of epipens, heat stroke, and concussions.
STAR Assistants are campers who were in 7th or 8th grade during the 2025/2026 school year. STAR Assistants attend camp at a reduced rate and will assist our counselors and specialists throughout the day while also being able to engage in their own age appropriate activities.
STAR Camp registration fills quickly. Families who have never registered for STAR Camp before will need the following information ready to complete registration: Child's T-shirt size, at least two emergency contacts (names & numbers), pediatrician and dentist contact information, health insurance information, pertinent health information (to include dietary needs), known allergies, and EIP/504 plans. Having this information prepared and accessible while completing the registration will help in securing a spot. Families who have registered for STAR Camp previously, will need to update their child's information with any changes, to include making sure the T-shirt size is updated as campers will need to wear camp shirts on field trip days. Extra services offered as part of STAR Camp such as: early drop off, late pick up, and swimming lessons will be set as wait list only. While registering, if you know you need these services, please click "Add to Waitlist." Children will be released from the waiting list once Community Education staff have verified that they have been registered for STAR Camp and space is available for the selected add-on. This prevents paying for a camp add-on should your child be added to the waiting list for camp.
*This Camp must comply with regulations of the MDPH and be licensed by LBOH.
*Parents have the right to view staff background checks upon request.
